Our award-winning calibration technique is the most widely used procedure internationally for determining the frequency response and sensitivity of UHF PD sensors.
Please contact us for prices if you are interested in any of the following:
- Support for designing new UHF PD sensors for custom applications
- Hire of our UHF calibration system for sensor test or optimisation work by your own engineers
- UHF PD sensor calibrations carried out on your behalf by HFDE
See our datasheets for the UHF Sensor Calibration System and its Voltage Step Generator.
UHF PD Sensor Calibration Facility (100 MHz - 2000 MHz):
HFDE also offers design and consultancy services to clients wishing to establish their own calibration facilities that will streamline the development of UHF sensors for PD detection in HV plant including GIS, transformers and switchgear. In-house calibration is also valuable for quality control and certification of performance during sensor production.
Based on the award-winning system developed by the founder of High Frequency Diagnostics, Dr Martin Judd, in 1996, the system uses a GTEM cell to measure effective height of the sensor. This procedure has been used for 30 years to verify and calibrate the sensitivity of thousands of UHF PD sensors.
